Augurium is a death metal band from Regina, Saskatchewan, formed in 2015 with the mission of creating the heaviest music in their community. Early on, they supported touring acts like Belphegor, Cryptopsy, Inanimate Existence, Signs of the Swarm, Vader, and Origin.

The band released their debut EP Omen and follow-up Unhallowed Ascendance, supporting both with shows across Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia.

In 2018, guitarist Logan Barlow joined and helped evolve Augurium’s sound, drawing influence from symphonic and melodic death metal bands like Fleshgod Apocalypse, The Black Dahlia Murder, and Soilwork. After a brief hiatus in 2019, the band reformed in 2020 with a new lineup: Cejay Carnochan (guitar), Logan Barlow (guitar), Reid Paraszczynec (bass), Taylor McDonald (drums), and Yianni Pantelopoulos (vocals).

Augurium spent the next two years crafting their acclaimed full-length album Unearthly Will, praised as:

“An unmissable offering for death metal fans” – Amplify the noise

“brutal, unrelenting, well-constructed, performed, written and thoroughly enjoyable from beginning to end” – Toilet Ov Hell

“the main hallmark of the album is the daunting scale on which the music operates” – No Clean Singing

They self-organized a tour across Western Canada in support of the record, followed by a nomination for Metal/Hard Rock Artist of the Year at the Saskatchewan Music Awards.

In 2024, Dylan Suppes joined as the band’s new vocalist, replacing Yianni and ushering in a new era for Augurium. In May 2025, the band released the single Faith & Death Pt. I, marking the beginning of their next chapter.
